(VOVworld) – Vietnam congratulates Mr. Roberto Azevedo for being re-elected as the Director General of the World Trade Organisation (WTO) for the 2017-2021 tenure.

Foreign Ministry’s spokesman Le Hai Binh said Thursday that the WTO members acknowledge Mr. Azevedo’s contributions to the multilateral trade system during his previous term.

Binh noted Vietnam believes that in the coming term he will continue to strengthen the multilateral trade system and WTO’s role, while ensuring benefits and increasing technical assistance for developing member countries including Vietnam.
