(VOVworld) – The Secretary General of the Thai Central Electoral Committee, researchers, law experts, Overseas Vietnamese and more than 400 law students from Vietnam and Thailand have attended a symposium on the draft amendments of Vietnam’s 1992 Constitution. At Saturday’s symposium in Ubon Ratchathani province, Vietnamese law experts underlined the new content of the constitutional revisions and the amendment process. The Thai researchers put questions about human rights, political regime, legislative and court system and economic ownership. The Thai delegates spoke highly of Vietnam’s efforts to amend the Constitution to match the new socio-economic development conditions as Vietnam is in the process of international integration and building an ASEAN Economic Community by 2015.
