(VOVworld) – Deputy Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son has held a press briefing on Vietnam’s participation at the World Economic Forum on East Asia in Myanmar. Son said themed “Courageous Transformation for Inclusion and Integration”, the Forum focuses on regional integration and transformation.

In his opening speech, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung stressed the importance of an international environment of peace, stability, cooperation and development based on international law. He also touched upon free trade and investment through economic connectivity and the effective cooperation among countries in settling common regional and global issues. Concerning ASEAN’s regional integration, Prime Minister Dung said Vietnam will try its best to work with Myanmar and other ASEAN countries to strengthen linkages for mutual benefit and development and contribute to building an ASEAN Community.
