Vietnam contributes to denuclearization on Korean peninsula

(VOVWORLD) - Vietnamese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Le Thi Thu Hang briefed reporters on Thursday on the online talks between Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and the Republic of Korea’s President Yoon Suk Yeol about denuclearization on the Korean peninsula.

Speaking at the regular press conference, Ms Hang said: "Vietnam pursues a consistent policy of supporting peace, stability, cooperation and development on the Korean peninsula and parties’ willingness to promote dialogues for joint efforts for denuclearization and building peace on the Korean peninsula. With that spirit and keeping a traditional friendship with North Korea and strategic cooperative partnership with South Korea, Vietnam will continue to contribute to promoting dialogues, cooperation, and reconciliation on the Korean peninsula for peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world."
