Minh reviewed Vietnam’s achievements last year with new records in socio-economic development and foreign affairs. He praised the effective cooperation and called for further support by Vietnam’s partners: “We have been working together to create a better future for the region and the world. Your support and cooperation is indispensable for Vietnam to deepen international relations and attain planned goals such as a non-permanent seat on the UN Security Council in the 2020-2021 term, the chairmanship of ASEAN in 2020, and implementation of the UN 2030 Agenda and Sustainable Development Goals.”
Deputy PM Minh said Vietnam will continue to pursue a foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, peace, cooperation, development, and active international integration, contributing to resolving emerging challenges in the region and the world.
Venezuela Ambassador Jorge Rondon Uzcategui sent New Year wishes to the Vietnamese people and said he hopes Vietnam will attain all its targets and enjoy a prosperous life.
