Vietnam creates 7 million jobs over the past 5 years

(VOVworld) – Vietnam has created nearly 7 million jobs and trained 7.2 million rural labors over the past 5 years. At a conference reviewing 5 years of implementing a party resolution on agriculture, farmers, and rural areas, Pham Thi Hai Chuyen, Minister of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs, said the ministry will continue to study, revise poverty reduction policies to suit each specific region.
She added that the ministry targets increasing job growth by 2.5 – 3 percent a year: Provinces and cities should review the labor demand of each sector for future training to avoid wastefulness. Job generations should go hand in hand with new rural development. Inspections are also need to ensure effectiveness and avoid wastefulness.
