(VOVworld) – Following what happened at the Formosa Project in Vung Ang economic zone, Ha Tinh province and the relevant agencies have been supporting affected Vietnamese and foreign individuals and organizations. Measures are underway to ensure security and order while extremists and lawbreakers have been detained and prosecuted. Operations at the Formosa Project and other works in Vung Ang have returned to normal.

Project owners, bidders, engineers, and workers of Taiwan and mainland China have acknowledged and appreciated the support of the local administration and relevant agencies. Director General of the Formosa Project, Yang Hong Zhi, said that investors would continue with the project. However, at the request of the Chinese embassy in Hanoi and Chinese project bidders, relevant Vietnamese agencies have helped to facilitate China in evacuating workers from May 19th.
