Vietnam creates favorable conditions for green, renewable energy projects, says Deputy PM
(VOVWORLD) -Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha pledged favorable conditions for green, renewable energy projects as he met Surendra Rosha, Co-Chief Executive of HSBC Asia-Pacific in Hanoi on Wednesday.

The Deputy Prime Minister expressed his impression at HSBC's proposal on mobilizing financial resources and arranging international capital of about 12 billion USD for projects on climate change response and net zero emissions in Vietnam.
He said Vietnam, together with the G7 industrialized countries and other international partners, have approved a political declaration to establish the Just Energy Transition Partnership (JETP). The partnership will initially mobilize 15.5 billion USD from the governments to attract investment capital from banks and businesses in equitable energy transition.
The Deputy Prime Minister also discussed with HSBC leaders priorities of green and digital transformation, institutions and policies so that foreign banks and businesses, including HSBC, can rest assured to invest and do business in Vietnam. They also exchanged views on necessary technical support for Vietnam to approach, develop harmoniously green economy and green energy, and establish renewable energy industrial centers.
Surendra Rosha said that HSBC is eager to share with Vietnam the green and digital transformation experiences that the bank has supported businesses in many other countries to achieve the goal of net zero emissions.
