During President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Nguyen Thien Nhan’s meeting with Swiss Ambassador Andrej Motyl on Wednesday, Nhan praised Motyl’s proposal to the Vietnamese President that doctor Alexandre Emile Jean Yersin be posthumously conferred the title “Honorary Vietnamese Citizen” in recognition of his contributions. Nhan said that the conferment will further foster Vietnam-Switzerland friendship and cooperation.
