At a meeting Tuesday in Hanoi with Cuban medical experts on the outcomes of cooperation and exchange of experience in the fight against COVID-19, Senior Lieutenant General Don said the delegation’s visit will enhance cooperation between the two Defense Ministries in military medicine.
Mr. Don, who is also Head of the Ministry’s Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control, said: “It’s important to exchange clinical experience in the use of medicines produced by Cuba to fight the COVID-19 pandemic and other infectious diseases.”
“We hope Cuba will help the Vietnam Military Medical Academy train staff in molecular biology, protein technology, and monoclonal antibodies. Vietnam in turn is ready to teach Cuban experts traditional medicine and acupuncture," said Mr. Don.
General Don assured the Cuban medical experts of the Defense Ministry’s readiness to help them fulfill their assignments in Vietnam.
