(VOVworld)-  Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong has highly praised Cuban people’s undauntedness to defend and build socialism. while receiving visiting Secretary of the Communist Party of Cuba’s Central Committee Victor Gaute Lopez in Hanoi on Monday he affirmed that Vietnam and Cuba will be side by side on their path to socialism.

Mr. Lopez reiterated that Cuba treasures and constantly develops its cooperative ties with Vietnam in all fields and his visit aims to foster bilateral cooperation and friendship. He added that this is an ideal opportunity for both sides to exchange experiences on building socialism. Both leaders expressed their belief that the Vietnam-Cuba friendship will be consolidated and promoted in the future.

Earlier, Mr. Lopez held talks with National Assembly Deputy chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan. Both sides shared experiences on the role of the party leadership in socio-economic development and discussed solutions to boost and expand friendship and cooperation between the two parties and peoples.
