Vietnam Cultural Day held at Moscow International Relations Institute

(VOVworld) – Photos and exhibits about Vietnam and its people are on display at the Vietnam Cultural Day that opened Wednesday at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations.

Highlights of the event include a photo exhibit dubbed “Hello Vietnam” and a seminar on boosting Vietnam-Russia bilateral cooperation, in addition to performances featuring Vietnamese traditional dress (Ao dai), and Vietnamese folk songs and dances. Addressing the opening ceremony, Russian Professor Evgeni Kojokin, who is head of the institute, and the First Secretary of the Vietnamese Embassy in Russia, Mai Thi Phong, hailed the event’s significance, noting bright prospects for stronger ties. Director of the ASEAN Centre Professor Victor Sumxki said:“Similar events are often held to help Russian and other international students share their knowledge of different cultures around the world. It’s interesting to learn more about the Vietnamese culture at this event jointly organized by Russian and Vietnamese students at the institute.”
