(VOVworld) – A series of cultural activities are taking place in Nicosia, the capital city of the Republic of Cyprus, as part of the Vietnam Days to celebrate the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Cyprus.

Speaking at the event that began last Sunday, Nicosia’s Acting Governor Eleni Loucaidou said the Vietnam Days will contribute to bringing the two countries’ people closer together, adding that Nicosia is willing to help Vietnam organise such events in the future.
A seminar to promote Vietnam's tourism and a photo exhibition featuring Vietnam’s sea and islands were held during the cultural event.
