The same day, the Crown Prince Frederick attended the Sustainable Energy Summit Forum in Hanoi.
"It's really impressive to witness how the relationship between Denmark and Vietnam has grown over time. On the business side, Denmark is now a major foreign investor in Vietnam. Around 135 Danish companies are physically present throughout your wonderful country. But in a longer and more strategic scale, we're aligned to share ambition for greater, greener future and a goal of becoming net zero emission countries by 2050,” he said.
"This is an ambition and that's become even more important as we find ourselves in a global energy crisis. Our point of departure is different but we share the same vision when it comes to mitigating the consequences of climate change. Denmark and Danish businesses are here to support your effort toward green society," said the Danish Crown Prince.
At the forum, 14 Memoranda of Understanding between Danish and Vietnamese businesses were signed.
