Vietnam Doctors’ Day celebrated at home and abroad

Dak Nong’s Health Department organized a charity concert on Tuesday to benefit disadvantaged patients who are treated at hospitals in the province.

The performers were doctors and medical workers from local hospitals. Concert proceeds went to “kitchens of love” at 5 hospitals which provide about 50,000 free meals a year to poor patients.

The Association of Vietnamese Cambodian Doctors held a get-together in Phnom Penh on Tuesday to mark the anniversary.

Vietnamese Ambassador to Cambodia Vu Quang Minh congratulated the doctors on their day and thanked Vietnamese physicians in Cambodia for their contributions to solidarity between the two countries.

The Association of Vietnamese Cambodian Doctors, a volunteer organization engages in charity healthcare activities for the Vietnamese community in Cambodia, such as providing free medical treatment and medicines.
