 The joint statement said President Quang attended discussions with President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi and met with Speaker of the House of Representatives Ali Abdel Aal and Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly.

The two State leaders discussed bilateral, regional, and global issues of common concern. They said President Quang’s visit is a landmark in 55 years of bilateral ties and they believe the outcomes of this first visit by a Vietnamese President will help consolidate political trust, expand cooperation in trade, investment, agriculture, education, and training, and promote cultural and people-to-people exchanges between the two countries.

The leaders agreed to increase the exchange of delegations through the channels of their governments, parliaments, localities, and businesses, while optimizing existing cooperative mechanisms such as the inter-governmental committee and political consultation, thus strengthening their strategic trust.

The two called on the international community to settle armed conflicts through peaceful measures in line with the UN Charter and international law.

The two leaders agreed to continue to promote bilateral ties in trade and investment, and pledged to create favorable conditions for their businesses to access each other’s markets.

The two leaders witnessed the signing of several cooperative agreements between their ministries, agencies, and localities.

Discussing international issues, the two said peace and stability in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Africa, or any other region is essential for human development and prosperity. They vowed to work together for progress and prosperity their respective region.
