Vietnam enhances science, technology, innovation cooperation with WIPO
(VOVWORLD) -Minister of Science and Technology Huynh Thanh Dat said that, as a member of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), Vietnam is ready to join others in implementing the organization’s shared initiatives to support post-pandemic recovery.

At a meeting with WIPO Director-General Daren Tang on Wednesday and at the 63rd series of meetings of the Assemblies of the WIPO Member States on Thursday during a working visit to France and the WIPO in Geneva, Mr. Dat said Vietnam creates favorable conditions for intellectual property (IP) and the innovation ecosystem, especially among small and medium-sized firms and startups, and encourages the engagement of women and young people.
He said Vietnam will remain an active, and responsible member of WIPO for the development of an inclusive, balanced, dynamic, and future-oriented global IP ecosystem.
In France, Minister Dat met with the French Minister of Higher Education and Research and visited agencies and organisations that promote French innovation.
