Vietnam eyes stronger cooperation with foreign pharmaceutical, vaccine producers
(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam is calling for stronger cooperation in production and technology transfer of COVID-19 vaccine and drugs, said Minister of Health Nguyen Thanh Long at meetings on Tuesday with the Ambassadors to Vietnam of Belgium, Russia, and the UK.

The Ambassadors applauded Vietnam’s efforts to combat the coronavirus and said they are impressed by Vietnam’s COVID-19 vaccination rollout.
Minister Long told Belgian Ambassador Paul Jansen that the Ministry of Health is revising Vietnam’s Law on Pharmacy and looks forward to stronger cooperation with the European Union and Belgium to bring its pharmaceutical management up to global standards.
Russian Ambassador Gennady Bezdetko said Russian firms are ready to expand co-operation with Vietnam in health care, science, and pharmaceuticals manufacturing. The two countries are already working together on vaccine production.
British Ambassador Gareth Ward said the UK is willing to share its experience with Vietnam in COVID-19 vaccinations for children. He said the UK wants to cooperate with Vietnam in researching and producing COVID-19 vaccines and drugs.
