(VOVworld) - The Vietnam Federation of UNESCO Associations on Wednesday issued a statement protesting China’s illegal placement of an oilrig in Vietnam’s exclusive economic zone. The Federation demanded China withdraw its rig and escort ships from Vietnam’s exclusive economic zone and not repeat similar acts in the future. It called on China’s Federation of UNESCO Associations, the Chinese people and UNESCO Associations worldwide to voice their support for justice and international law, helping to protect peace and stability in the region and the world.
