Vietnam focuses on sustainable development, green growth
(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has reiterated Vietnam’s consistent policy of promoting sustainable development and green growth.

At a meeting with World Bank Managing Director of Operations Axel Van Trosenburg on Tuesday, the Prime Minister said in order to prioritize the development of the green economy, circular economy, and lower-carbon economy, Vietnam has adopted the National Green Growth Strategy 2021-2030.
This came within the framework of the ongoing COP26 in the UK. Also discussed was Vision 2030 which aims to restructure the economy toward environmental sustainability, social equality, and a neutral carbon economy and to contribute to the global common goals on GHG emission reduction.
The WB official pledged to continue to assist Vietnam in developing macro-economic policies and accessing sustainable financial resources to promote green, sustainable, and inclusive growth.
