Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc made the remark at a reception for Japan’s Ambassador to Vietnam Umeda Kunio
in Hanoi on Tuesday. The Prime Minister said the upcoming visit to Vietnam by the Emperor and Empress of Japan will be a milestone in bilateral ties.
The Ambassador told the Prime Minister coordination with relevant Vietnamese agencies in preparing a large-scale program to promote Japan’s investment in Vietnam involving 1,000 Japanese businesspeople. In the meantime, the Japan External Trade Organisation (JETRO) and the Ministry of Planning and Investment are working closely to ensure the success of the program.
