(VOVworld) – Vietnam wants Germany to help Vietnamese produce, particularly seafood, rice, tea, coffee, and fruits, penetrate the EU market. Vietnamese Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Cao Duc Phat told German Minister of Food and Agriculture Christian Schmidt in Berlin on Monday that both ministries should work more closely to increase bilateral trade of farm produce. He called for closer cooperation in climate change adaptation, ecosystem protection, and forestry development.

Schmidt pledged to continue promoting bilateral relations, particularly in agro-forestry, by discussing with relevant German offices the signing of cooperative documents with Vietnam.
Earlier, Phat visited the Dong Xuan Trade Centre in Berlin where he met and talked with Vietnamese importers about cooperation possibilities with export companies at home.
