1,046 of 1,140 cases have fully recovered. Vietnam’s COVID-19 death toll stands at 35. The few remaining Covid-19 patients are being treated at 12 medical facilities.
Acting Health Minister Nguyen Thanh Long said on Tuesday during an online conference on COVID-19 prevention that the pandemic is basically under control. But the risk of the virus entering Vietnam remains high, especially as the number of flights repatriating Vietnamese citizens increases. Vietnam should prepare to fight the pandemic all winter, Mr.Long said.
