Vietnam, India mark 40th anniversary of diplomatic ties

(VOVworld) – Various business activities are underway in Da Nang city to mark the 40th anniversary of Vietnam-India diplomatic ties, the 5th anniversary of their Strategic Partnership and the 20th anniversary of the establishment of India-ASEAN relations. On the first Day of 2013, India’s naval ship Ins Sudarshini docked at Tien Sa port, beginning a friendly visit to Danang city. Officers and crew-members had cultural and sports exchanges with the Navy Command of Military Zone C and visited Hoi An ancient town and Hue imperial citadel. On Wednesday evening, the art troupe Shwaas Rock Band will perform at the Da Nang University. Luong Minh Sam is Director of the municipal Department of Foreign Affairs: “Such activities are very meaningful to us. This is the first India organize large-scale activities, which help local investors learn more about India for their cooperation plans. Indian businesses also learn about Da Nang to boost cooperation in trade, investment and tourism”.
An India-Vietnam Investment and Business seminar is underway in Da Nang with the participation of more than 100 companies from both countries.
