(VOVworld)- Visiting Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan has met with Indian government agencies, universities and research institutes to boost bilateral cooperation. At a meeting with the Indian Ministry of Science and Technology, Mr. Nhan expressed his hope that the two countries will strengthen cooperation in nano technology, bio-technology and oceanography. In a visit to the prestigious University of Delhi, Nhan and his delegation were briefed on the university’s achievements as well as its cooperation program with Vietnam in nano technology, biology, Indian studies and Buddhism research. Mr. Nhan also held talks with the Indian Minister of Human Resource and Development and Minister of Communication and Information Technology Kapil Sibal. 9 Memorandums of Understanding were signed promoting biotechnology in agriculture, nano technology research and Indian and Vietnamese studies.

Earlier, the delegation laid wreaths at a monument to India’s great leader Mahatma Ghandi, visited the Vietnamese Embassy, and talked with Vietnamese residents, Buddhist followers, and students in India.
