Vietnam, India to achieve two-way trade of 15 billion USD
(VOVWORLD) -Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi have agreed that the target of 15 billion USD in bilateral trade will be met by 2020.

The leaders met on the sidelines of the 31st ASEAN Summit in Manila, the Philippines on Tuesday. Prime Minister Modi said that India will increase investment in infrastructure, IT, high-tech agriculture and energy development in Vietnam. Prime Minister Phuc affirmed Vietnam’s support for India’s Act East policy and greater role in the region. The leaders agreed on the importance of maintaining peace, stability, security, safety and freedom of navigation and overflight in the East Sea and respecting international law in resolving any disputes.
