Vietnam invests 416 million USD abroad over 8 months
(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam’s outbound investment over the past 8 months reached 416 million USD, up more than 5% against last year, according to the Foreign Investment Agency of the Ministry of Planning and Investment.

Vietnamese investors have invested in 14 industries abroad, of which the wholesale and retail sectors took the lead with 23 new projects and capital adjusted ones, totaling more than 150 million USD.
The information and communications industry ranked second followed by electricity production and distribution, agro-forestry-fishery, banking and the finance sectors.
Of the 23 countries and territories receiving investment from Vietnam, Canada topped the list with total registered investment capital of more than 150 million USD, followed by Singapore, Laos, and Cuba.
