(VOVworld)-State President Tran Dai Quang has called for further cooperation to promote Vietnamese culture and arts in Italian localities, which he said will deepen understanding and ties between the two peoples. President Quang made the statement when meeting with Milan Mayor Giuseppe Sala and President of Lombardy, Roberto Maroni on Thursday.

President Quang and the Italian officials agreed to encourage Italian businesses to invest in Vietnam, particularly in the mechanical engineering, infrastructure, energy, and fashion industries.  The same day, President Tran Dai Quang left Milan for Madagascar to attend the 16th Francophone Summit.
