(VOVworld) - Representatives of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour met a delegation of the Japanese Trade Union Confederation in Hanoi on Wednesday, affirming their determination to foster friendship and cooperation.

Standing Vice Chairman Tran Thanh Hai said his agency hopes to receive more assistance from the Japanese partners in building a strong trade union movement in Vietnam.

Assistant General Secretary Michiyo Nambu expressed her belief that her working visit to Vietnam will contribute to the close partnership between the two confederations, and said trade unions in the two countries will bolster exchanges and collaboration in the coming months.
