The CPP is a joint initiative of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and the World Customs Organization, sponsored by the UNODC through non-refundable aid. This global initiative began in 2004 to help members apply sustainable laws at selected sea ports. Vietnam and 4 other Southeast Asian nations - Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Philippines – will launch the program in 2014. In Viet Nam, the program will run until 2016.
