The biennial naval exercise, the third following the first event in 2014, focuses on humanitarian assistance and disaster relief. This year’s drill aims to increase cooperation among participating countries’ naval forces to prevent natural disasters. The Vietnamese members also took part in a street demonstration with other countries and local ethnic groups, who performed traditional dance and music.
