(VOVworld) - Vietnam will continue to help train archivists for Laos, as part of a MoU for next year’s cooperation plan between the State Records Management and Archives Department of Vietnam and Laos’ National Archives Department.

The document was signed in Vientiane on Monday. Under the agreement, both agreed to continue working with related agencies on a project to build a national archives insurance center in Luang Prabang and Laos, using the Vietnamese Government’s annual aid to Laos. They reached a consensus on building and sharing lists of archived history-related documents about the two nations. Both pledged to continue creating favourable conditions for their experts and officials to exchange professional skills and information, and participate in seminars and symposiums in order to improve their capacity.
