Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia hope for early stability and peaceful settlement of disputes in Myanmar
(VOVWORLD) -Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc held talks with his Lao and Cambodian counterparts Thongloun Sisoulith and Samdech Techo Hun Sen via video-conference on Wednesday.

The Prime Ministers praised the online talks initiated by Prime Minister Hun Sen as significant in fostering traditional friendship among the three countries. They agreed to promote cooperation and mutual support in the fight against COVID-19 pandemic, facilitate the movement of travelers and goods across border, investment activities, vaccine access for developing countries as well as other initiatives under the ASEAN framework, including the ASEAN Regional Reserve of Medical Supplies for Public Health Emergencies and the ASEAN Travel Corridor.
Relating to regional issues of shared concern, the Prime Ministers wished that Myanmar will soon stabilize the situation and resolve disputes via peaceful talks for the benefit of Myanmar, as well as peace and stability in the region. They agreed to continue supporting the central role and efforts of ASEAN.
They emphasized the importance of peace and stability in the East Sea and joint cooperation for a Code of Conduct of Parties in the East Sea in line with international law.
The three Prime Ministers pledged cooperation in the management and sustainable utility of water resource in the Mekong River, properly resolving issues relating to mainstream hydro power and boost cooperation in clean, renewable energy.
