(VOVworld) -  Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung on Friday launched Vietnam’s Law Day on November 9, honoring the Constitution and law and improving people’s awareness of and respect for the law.

The same day, the Ministry of Public Security launched Law Day across the security sector. Minister Tran Dai Quang urged police officers to improve their legal knowledge and enforcement capacity and consider it a compulsory requirement in assessing the cadres’ capabilities. “Policemen have to understand that publicizing and disseminating the law on public security and order is an important task. We will actively work with sectors, organizations, schools, and enterprises to build collaborative mechanisms and diversify forms to communicate information regarding the Constitution and law to society.”
