Phuc said he hopes Vietnamese students and scholars in the Netherlands will work with Dutch experts in dealing with climate change because Vietnam is one of the countries most affected. He said trade ties between Vietnam and the Netherlands are improving with two-way trade reaching 7 billion USD.

“The Netherlands has given helpful recommendations to Vietnam in organic and high-tech agriculture. Vietnam not only buys Dutch goods but also exports to the Netherlands. We hope to receive more Dutch technology in processing and manufacturing,” Mr. Phuc said.

Prime Minister Phuc acknowledged the opinions of the Vietnamese community in the Netherlands saying they will be considered in creating policies that encourage Vietnamese expatriates’ contributions to their homeland.
