(VOVworld)- The Malaysian Foreign Ministry and the Vietnamese Embassy in Malaysia held a meeting in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Friday to celebrate the 40^th anniversary of the establishment of the bilateral diplomatic ties. In his address, Malaysian Deputy Foreign Minister Kohilan Pillay highlighted the fine development of the bilateral ties. He urged the two countries’ leaders and people to exert further efforts to strengthen the comprehensive relations. He said Malaysian King plans to pay a state visit and Malaysian Prime Minister will pay an official visit to Vietnam on the occasion of the 40^th anniversary of the diplomatic ties. On the occasion, President Truong Tan Sang, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung, and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh sent congratulatory messages to Malaysian King Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah, Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak and Foreign Minister Anifah Aman. They expressed their belief that the bilateral relationship will develop more sustainably in the near future.
