Vietnam earned a total of 19.04 points, thanks to an impressive unbeaten streak of eight matches, which included five wins and three draws. Most of those games were during the 2024 ASEAN Cup, between December 2024 and January 2025. Additional points came from a FIFA-sanctioned friendly against Cambodia and an ASEAN Cup 2027 qualifier against Laos.
In Southeast Asia, Myanmar saw the biggest jump, rising seven spots to 162nd. Indonesia and the Philippines also made gains, moving up four places to 123rd and 146th, respectively. Malaysia inched up one spot to 132nd. Thailand remains the region’s highest-ranked team but dropped three places to 99th in the world.
FIFA will release the next rankings in July 2025.
