Vietnam, Myanmar strengthen Comprehensive Cooperative Partnership
(VOVWORLD) - Myanmar State Counselor Aung San Suu Kyi began a two-day official visit to Vietnam on Thursday at the invitation of Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc.

The visit by Aung San Suu Kyi, who is also Myanmar’s Minister for Foreign Affairs and Minister of the President’s Office, aims to strengthen the Vietnam-Myanmar Comprehensive Cooperative Partnership.
During her visit, the State Counselor will hold talks with Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and sign a number of cooperative agreements. They will discuss measures to expand collaboration in politics, trade, investment, defense, agriculture, fisheries, forestry, energy, telecoms, tourism, education, and people-to-people exchanges. They will focus on regional issues and cooperative measures at multilateral forums for the benefit of the two countries, as well as of the region and the world.
