(VOVworld) –Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung said he is delighted that Vietnam and the Netherlands have turned climate change challenges into cooperation opportunities in agriculture, water management, education, and training.
Dung spoke at the opening of the 6th meeting of the Vietnam-Netherlands Intergovernmental Committee on Climate Change Adaptation and Water Management in The Hague on Wednesday.

The meeting was co-chaired by Dutch Minister of Infrastructure and Environment Melanie Schultz, who said the Netherlands is ready to support and transfer technologies to help Vietnam develop the Mekong Delta region sustainably and address climate change challenges. She added that a number of Dutch companies and research institutes, which are experienced in dredging and erosion prevention, want to establish partnerships with Vietnam.
Both sides agreed to design new plans for climate change adaptation and water management cooperation.
