Ms. Kaag said the two countries have worked closely in manufacturing, clean energy, renewable energy, the circular economy, and emissions reduction. She said the EVFTA will open up big new opportunities for businesses and now is a good time for the two countries to expand their cooperation.

Minister Tuan Anh welcomed the interest of the Dutch government and businesses in collaborating with Vietnam in trade, manufacturing, and energy. He clarified aspects of the EVFTA such as taxation, intellectual property, services, and Government procurement, and explained what Vietnam can do to help Dutch investors make Vietnam a production and sales hub within ASEAN. 

The two ministers vowed to help businesses of both countries take full advantage of EVFTA’s opportunities.
