Vietnam offers numerous investment opportunities for Indian businesses
(VOVWORLD) - Vietnamese and Indian small and medium sized enterprises see promising cooperation opportunities in trade and investment, according to an online conference on Thursday called “Boosting trade-investment cooperation opportunities between Vietnamese and Indian SMEs.”

The conference was jointly organized by the Trade Office of the Vietnamese Embassy in India, the Uttar Pradesh state government, the Indian Industries Association, and the Hanoi SME Association.
Vietnam’s Ambassador to India Pham Sanh Chau said Vietnam offers investors a lot of advantages and benefits from many new Free Tree Agreements and economic partners. Vietnam-India trade has grown to nearly 10 billion USD. Mr. Chau said: “The increasing importance of Vietnam in global supply chains is good news for Vietnam-India relations. Vietnam has a lot of attractions for investors - favorable investment policies, numerous free trade agreements, rapid economic growth, political stability, cheap labor, and a young labor force. Indian partners should set up an association with Vietnam to facilitate trade cooperation between the two countries”.
According to Vietnam’s Foreign Investment Agency, as of December 2020, India had nearly 300 projects in Vietnam with a total investment of nearly 900 million USD, ranking 26th among the countries and territories invested in Vietnam.
