Vietnam Peace and Development Foundation opens 4th Congress
(VOVWORLD) - The Vietnam Peace and Development Foundation organized its 4th Congress on Saturday to review the foundation’s performance and discuss tasks in the next tenure until 2024.

In her address, Truong Thi Mai, Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Mass Mobilization, said the foundation, founded by former Vice President Nguyen Thi Binh in 2003, has contributed to strengthening understanding and friendship between Vietnam and other countries. Ms Mai said: “The foundation and its Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Binh have given the Party and State valuable advice on external relations issues and national development. The foundation has brought into full play its role to help enhance Vietnam’s people-to-people foreign policy.”
At the congress, Ha Hung Cuong, former Minister of Justice was elected the foundation’s chairman in the 2019-2024 tenure. Madam Nguyen Thi Binh is the honorable chairwoman of the foundation.
