Vietnam pledges greater contribution to improving ASEAN's capacity, resilience
(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam is ready to cooperate with Indonesia to fulfill the duties of the ASEAN Chair 2023, Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son said at the 32nd ASEAN Coordinating Council Meeting (ACC-32) in Jakarta, Indonesia, on Friday.

He said Vietnam will contribute responsibly to improving ASEAN's institutional capacity, which is an important factor to enhance the bloc’s resilience and adaptability to complex and unpredictable changes in the region and in the world.
Mr. Son announced a number of Vietnam's initiatives in 2023, including organizing programs to promote inclusive economic recovery in the region, energy transition, and climate change combat, and putting the ASEAN Center for Public Health Emergencies and Emerging Diseases into operation.
