(VOVworld) – Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu met with the heads of ASEAN military delegations attending the 5^th Moscow International Security Conference this week.

Vietnam’s Defense Minister Ngo Xuan Lich said Vietnam values Russia’s contributions to maintaining peace and stability in the Asia-Pacific region. Russia has participated responsibly in ASEAN-led multilateral security cooperation mechanisms like the ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF) and the ASEAN Defense Ministers Meeting Plus (ADMM+). Mr. Lich said Vietnam is committed to cooperating with Russia bilaterally and multilaterally on the basis of mutual respect and benefit and international law.
