(VOVworld) – Vietnam won the first prize at the 10th ASEAN Skills Competition with 15 gold medals, 6 silver, and 7 bronze medals, followed by Indonesia and Malaysia.

At the competition, ASEAN countries exchanged experiences in developing vocational training, applying modern training models, advanced skills, new materials, and technology, to improve each country’s competitiveness in human resource development. Addressing the closing ceremony on Wednesday, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam hailed the contributions of the organizing boards, experts, and contestants to the success of the competition: "All contestants shared their passion for work and determination to overcome any difficulty to better themselves. They have set a bright model for the younger generations who have selected or choose to attend vocational training. It’s important for all of us to improve our skills everyday to fulfill our tasks with the best results for a better society."
Malaysia will host the 11th ASEAN Skills Competition in 2016.
