(VOVworld) – Vietnam is ready for APEC Year 2017 and will actively contribute to APEC cooperation, Deputy Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son told a review conference of APEC Senior Officials in Lima, Peru on November 14.

The conference, part of the 2016 APEC Economic Leaders’ Week discussed the future of international trade policies, economic growth, and improvement of living conditions. Mr. Son said Vietnam considers APEC Year 2017 the focus of its diplomacy. The participants hailed Vietnam’s preparation for APEC Year 2017 and confirmed their support to make it a success. Speaking to the APEC Business Advisory Council, the Deputy Foreign Minister spoke highly of business’s important role in promoting regional connectivity and of the Council’s support for Vietnam in the preparation for APEC Year 2017.
