(VOVWORLD) - Van Don International Airport will be the only entry point in the north for Vietnamese returning from coronavirus areas, according to an order by the Prime Minister.

Quang Ninh province, where Van Don airport is located, is taking steps to prevent the spread of the virus, including using a quick virus test machine that gives results within 4 hours. Anyone testing positive will be transferred to the National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology.
4 days ago, a plane carrying 6 Vietnamese citizens returning from China landed at Van Don International Airport. They were temperature checked, provided with 4-layer face masks and isolated. They are currently in stable condition.
Pham Ngoc Sau, Director of the Van Don International Airport, said: “Our task is to ensure hygiene at the airport and disinfect passengers and their luggage to prevent cross contamination. International flights are totally isolated and will only continue after being disinfected.”
