Vietnam records 16,000 more cases of COVID-19, 133 Omicron cases

(VOVWORLD) -Vietnam on Friday recorded nearly 15,935 new infections, of which 34 were imported and 15,901 were recorded domestically, a decrease of 736 cases compared to the previous day.

2,256 recoveries were announced on Friday, bringing the total number of recoveries to nearly 1.8 million. During the day, there were 177 deaths.

Vietnam has seen 133 cases of the Omicron variant so far.

As of Friday, 173.7 million of doses of vaccine have been administered  in Vietnam, including more than 78.7 million first doses, more than 73.5 million second doses, and more than 21 million third doses.
