A response to 2018’s Decree 61, the one-stop-shop mechanism has been set up to handle administrative procedures in all ministries, sectors, and localities. 59 of 63 localities have established a province-level Public Service Center. Localities running both physical and online one-stop-shops include Ha Noi, Dong Thap, Thua Thien-Hue, Dong Nai, Kon Tum, and Lam Dong.
Minister Dung said, “The one-stop-shop mechanism reflects Vietnam’s reform of state agencies by stepping up technological application. It has made it possible to monitor the handling of administrative procedures and save a lot of time.”
The project members are fine-tuning documents guiding the implementation of the one-stop-shop mechanism. Their aim is to shorten the average time needed to resolve one case to 30 minutes by 2021 and to just 15 minutes by 2023.
