The event is expected to welcome 600 delegates from more than 40 countries, international organizations, investment funds, research institutions, and businesses. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh will attend the opening ceremony and chair a high-level dialogue session.

Speaking at a press conference in Hanoi on Tuesday, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Minh Vu said green growth and sustainable development are global trends aligned with the United Nations agenda and Vietnam’s development strategy.

Mr. Vu said that hosting the summit reflects Vietnams strong commitment to joining the international community and P4G members in realizing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and affirms Vietnams determination to promote green and sustainable growth strategies at national, regional, and global levels.
The Summit will create opportunities to exchange experiences, share lessons learned, and mobilize resources through public-private partnerships to support climate action, sustainable development and green transition, he said.

With the theme “Sustainable and People-Centered Green Transition”, the summit will feature thematic sessions, focusing on just energy transition, financial innovation and capital mobilization for sustainable development, transforming food systems for a sustainable future, breakthrough technologies for green transition and sustainable development, and investing in people and building a workforce for the future economy.

Vietnam will also host various bilateral meetings to strengthen cooperation with both P4G member countries and other international partners involved in the green growth process. Sideline activities will include a green innovation exhibition and cultural programs, showcasing Vietnam as a hospitable country with a rich cultural identity and traditions.
